Effectively communicate scheduling exceptions to Materials and Operations to resolve demand, supply, and capacity problems and to remove capacity constraints and bottlenecks from the process.Participate in and support the principles of Open Book Management and recognize the responsibilities of being an owner in the company.Develop scheduling methodology to deliver a stable schedule with agility when/where needed.Establish planning cycle and time horizons with the Master Scheduler and Production Manager.Work with Buyers/Planners and Master Scheduler to identify constraints and provide solutions to achieve the Production Plan.Review capacity performance and recommend changes if needed.
Participate in the continuous improvement of Planning and Control systems.Assist in the evaluation of scheduling priorities within the total site requirements needed to support fluctuating sales demand.Ensure current inventories are used before revisions are made to avoid costly write-offs.Develop Production Schedules to inform the organization at the required level of detail as to the manpower and material needed to meet customer demands.Create, maintain, and verify the Daily/Weekly Production Plan in response to the Master Production Schedule in consideration of critical resource constraints while meeting internal and external customer requirements.Reporting to the Materials Manager, this position will serve as the central control for Daily production planning for kitting, assembly and packaging operation.
